令和7年4月29日、東京・北の丸公園にある日本武道館にて、「全日本柔道選手権大会」が開催されました。
On April 29, 2025, the All-Japan Judo Championships were held at the historic Nippon Budokan in Tokyo's Kitanomaru Park.
この大会は、日本柔道の伝統と誇りを象徴する“無差別級”による一発勝負。
This tournament represents the pride and tradition of Japanese judo—a one-match openweight showdown.
7回目の挑戦でついに頂点に立ったのは、香川大吾選手（ALSOK／東京）。
In his seventh attempt, Daigo Kagawa (ALSOK/Tokyo) finally stood atop the podium.
昨年準優勝の雪辱を果たし、リオ五輪銀メダリスト・原沢久喜選手（推薦・長府工産）を決勝で破り、悲願の初優勝を果たしました。
He avenged last year's runner-up finish by defeating Rio Olympic silver medalist Hisayoshi Harasawa (Chofu Kousan) in the final to claim his first championship.

▪️独自ルールで行われる真剣勝負
A Unique Set of Rules for a High-Stakes Tournament
この大会では、延長戦なし・旗判定ありという特別ルールが採用されています。
This event follows unique rules—no extra time and match decisions made by flag judgment.
さらに、帯から下を持っても反則とならない“足取りあり”のルール、予選5分・決勝8分という時間設定も特徴です。
Grabbing below the belt is allowed, and match durations are set to 5 minutes for preliminary rounds and 8 minutes for the final.
推薦選手7名と、全国10地区の予選を勝ち抜いた40名、計47名の精鋭が集い、日本一の称号をかけて火花を散らしました。
A total of 47 competitors, including 7 seeded athletes and 40 who advanced through regional qualifiers, competed for the title of Japan’s best.

The Numbers Behind the Matches
全46試合のうち、技で決着がついたのは21試合（45.7％）。
Out of 46 matches, 21 (45.7%) were decided by technique.
旗判定は25試合（54.3％）と半数を超えました。
Flag decisions accounted for 25 matches (54.3%).
一本勝ちが15試合（うち寝技によるものが3試合）、技あり勝ちが5試合、有効が1試合。
There were 15 ippon victories (3 by ground techniques), 5 waza-ari wins, and 1 yuko.
決まり技の52％が足技（内股、小外刈、大内刈など）という結果でした。
Foot techniques (like uchi mata, kosoto gari, ouchi gari) accounted for 52% of winning moves.
足技の重要性が再認識される大会となりました。
This underscored the critical role of ashi-waza (foot techniques) in modern judo.
▪️印象に残った名勝負
Memorable Matches
準決勝で香川選手が昨年の王者・中野選手を相手に「帯取返（引込返）」で技ありを奪い、勝利。
In the semifinals, Kagawa scored a waza-ari with an obi-tori-gaeshi (hikikomi-gaeshi) against defending champion Nakano to win.
ウルフ・アロン選手も緒戦で同様の技を決めており、今大会を象徴する技となりました。
Aaron Wolf also used the same technique in the opening round, making it a standout move of the tournament.

▪️寝技の妙技と連携
The Art of Newaza (Ground Techniques)
寝技による一本勝ちは3試合。崩袈裟固、上四方固、腕挫十字固が決まり技でした。
Three matches ended with ippon by newaza, including kuzure-kesa-gatame, kami-shiho-gatame, and juji-gatame.
特に木元拓人選手が橋本壮市選手を上四方固で抑え込んだ連携は見事でした。
Takuto Kimoto’s seamless transition into kami-shiho-gatame against Soichi Hashimoto was a textbook example of newaza excellence.
▪️軽量級選手の挑戦
Lightweight Judoka Making Their Mark
阿部一二三選手、橋本壮市選手、永山竜樹選手ら軽量級選手の出場も大会を盛り上げました。
The participation of lightweights like Hifumi Abe, Soichi Hashimoto, and Ryuju Nagayama added excitement to the tournament.
阿部選手は2回戦で鈴木太陽選手に大内返で一本を取られ敗退も、堂々たる戦いぶりでした。
Abe was defeated by ippon via ouchi-gaeshi in the second round by Taiyo Suzuki, but he displayed the poise of a double Olympic champion.

▪️実力者が集結した舞台
A Stage for the Elite
出場者のうち6名が全日本選手権経験者、5名がかつての王者。
Among the 47 participants, 6 had previous All-Japan experience, and 5 were former champions.
推薦選手の中には五輪メダリスト3名、世界王者2名が含まれ、実力伯仲の大会となりました。
Among the seeded athletes were 3 Olympic medalists and 2 world champions, making it a showcase of elite judo talent.
満席の武道館がその熱戦に酔いしれ、大会は大成功に終わりました。
A packed Nippon Budokan bore witness to thrilling matches, making the event a resounding success.
