3月22日、横浜武道館が熱気に包まれた。「第3回柔道マガジン杯全国中学生柔道大会」が開催され、全国から男子99チーム、女子64チームが集い、日本一を目指して熱戦を繰り広げた。
On March 22, the Yokohama Budokan was filled with excitement as the 3rd Judo Magazine Cup National Junior High School Judo Tournament took place. A total of 99 boys' teams and 64 girls' teams from all over Japan gathered to compete for the national title.
この大会の特徴は、学校の部活動チームと個人道場チームが垣根を越えて競い合う点にある。普段の環境を超えた実戦の場は、選手たちにとって大きな成長の機会となる。初日は予選リーグが行われ、各ブロックの勝者が翌日の決勝トーナメントへと駒を進めた。
One of the unique aspects of this tournament is that both school club teams and private dojo teams compete against each other, transcending their usual environments. This provides an excellent opportunity for athletes to grow. On the first day, a preliminary league was held, and the winners of each block advanced to the knockout stage on the following day.

この大会の歴史を振り返ると、フランスのオリンピックゴールドメダリスト、テディー・リネール選手もかつて参加していた。ここから未来のスターが誕生する可能性を秘めた、まさに「夢の舞台」である。
Looking back at the history of this tournament, even Olympic gold medalist Teddy Riner from France once participated. This competition serves as a "dream stage" where future stars may be born.
選手たちにとって勝敗も重要だが、それ以上に日頃の稽古の成果を存分に発揮し、全力で挑むことが大切だ。畳の上で繰り広げられる攻防、仲間と共に戦う喜び、敗北から学ぶ悔しさ——すべてが未来へとつながる貴重な経験となる。
While winning and losing are important, what matters most is that each athlete fully demonstrates the results of their daily training and gives their all. The intense battles on the tatami, the joy of fighting alongside teammates, and the lessons learned from defeat—all these experiences contribute to their future growth.
