台湾からの風｜A Breeze from Taiwan 台湾からの風 グランドスラム東京を目前に、世界中の柔道家が日本へ集まりはじめています。
その熱気が高まる中、今年も台湾ナショナルチームの劉監督が、私たち土曜柔道会へ出稽古に来てくれました。 With the Grand Slam Tokyo just around the corner, judoka from around the world have begun arriving in Japan. Amidst this rising excitement, once again this year, Coach Liu of the Taiwan National Team came to train with us at the Saturday Judo Club. 劉監督は、世界マスターズチャンピオン。
そして指導者としても五輪、世界選手権メダリストを育て上げた、世界屈指の名コーチ。 Coach Liu is a World Masters Champion. As a coach, he has developed numerous Olympic and World Championship medalists, making him one of the world’s top instructors. 彼の柔道に向き合う姿勢、技術への信念、そして選手を育てる視点。
どれもが圧倒的で、私たちにとって学ぶべき点ばかり。
毎年こうして横浜の同じ畳で息を合わせ、一緒に稽古ができること――

今週の横浜土曜柔道会は、参加者81名と大盛況。 This week’s Yokohama Saturday Judo Club had a great turnout with 81 participants. 中学生の参加が増え、昨晩は4つの異なる中学校の柔道部に所属する生徒たちが自主的に稽古に参加してくれました。 Recently, more junior high school students have been joining, and last night, students from four different school judo clubs took part in the practice voluntarily. 自らの技を磨こうとするその姿勢には、未来への希望を感じずにはいられません。 Their eagerness to refine their skills gives us great hope for the future. 今、柔道人口の減少が叫ばれる中で、年齢も性別も国籍も超えた80人超の柔道家が一堂に会し、共に汗を流すこの場は、実に貴重なものだと改めて感じます。 In an era where the decline in the judo population is a concern, it’s truly special to see over 80 practitioners of all ages, genders, and nationalities come together and train as one. この活動は、多くの皆様が「柔道の稽古ができる場」を求めているという想いに応えるべく、世話役メンバーが力を合わせて支えています。 This gathering is made possible by the efforts of our coordinators, who work together to provide a training environment for everyone seeking judo practice. 嘉納治五郎師範の教え：柔道に「上・中・下 三段の別あり」 The Teachings of Jigoro Kano: The Thr...

【週末レポート】世界とつながる柔道稽古！】[Weekend Report] Connecting Through Judo

 先週末の横浜土曜柔道会には、なんと 70名を超える柔道家 が集まり、熱気あふれる稽古が行われました！ Last weekend, over  70 judo practitioners  gathered at the Yokohama Saturday Judo Practice, creating an energetic and passionate training session! 中でも注目すべきは、 イギリス・シンガポール・エストニア からの参加者。大阪万博の影響もあるのか、海外からの柔道愛好家が次々と道場に姿を見せてくれています。 One of the highlights was the participation of judoka from the  UK, Singapore, and Estonia .   「柔道を、もう一度学び直したい」 そんな気持ちが芽生えたのは、ある日の稽古終わりの帰り道でした。 技術だけでなく、人としての在り方まで問われる柔道。 30年以上関わってきたこの道を、さらに深めたいという思いが、静かに、しかし確かに心に灯ったのです。 “I want to relearn judo from the beginning.” That thought quietly emerged on my way home after a regular training session. Judo demands more than technical skill—it asks who you are as a person. Having walked this path for over 30 years, I felt a deep desire to revisit and deepen my understanding of the art. A指導員への挑戦 The Challenge of Becoming an A-Class Instructor 全日本柔道連盟が定める「公認柔道指導者資格制度」の中でも、最も高いレベルの資格の一つが“A指導員”です。 この資格は、ただ教えるだけでなく、「指導者を育てる」ための専門的知識と高い指導力が求められます。 Among the certifications in the All Japan Judo Federation’s official instructor qualification system, the A-Class Instructor is among the highest. 地域クラブとしての第一歩 〜神奈川県学年別柔道大会に初参加〜 Our First Step as a Community Judo Club – Participating in the 1st Kanagawa Grade-Based Judo Tournament

横浜土曜柔道会は、2025年より 地域クラブ団体 として正式に登録されました。 Yokohama Saturday Judo club has officially registered as a  community-based judo club  starting in 2025. これにより、神奈川県中学校体育連盟が主催する柔道大会への参加が可能となり、クラブとしての活動の幅がさらに広がりました。 This registration allows us to participate in judo tournaments hosted by the Kanagawa Junior High School Athletic Federation, further expanding our club’s activities. その第一歩となるのが、3月27日（木）に開催された 「第一回 神奈川県学年別柔道大会」 。 Our first step was the  1st Kanagawa Grade-Based Judo Tournament , held on Thursday, March 27. 開会式の様子 この大会は、中学から柔道を始めた生徒たちが、 学年別・体重別 で戦う個人戦です。 This tournament is designed for students who began practicing judo in junior high school, competing individually by  grade and weight class . 特徴的なのは 予選リーグ制 が導入されており1試合で終わらず 複数回の試合経験が積める 点。 A unique feature of this tournament is its  preliminary round-robin format , which allows participants to gain experience through  multiple matches . 初心者の生徒にとって、非常にありがたい機会です。 This is a valuable opportunity, especially for...

令和6年度 東京・関東地区対抗選抜柔道大会 Reiwa 6 Tokyo and Kanto District Competition Selection Judo Tournament この大会は、東京地区と関東地区の高段者（六段以上）が一堂に会し、学校、実業団、個人道場、各種柔道クラブなど、それぞれの場で指導に携わる者達が覇を競い合う伝統ある団体戦です。 The Tokyo vs. Kanto Judo Tournament is a prestigious team competition where high-ranking judoka—sixth dan and above—representing schools, corporate teams, private dojos, and various judo clubs gather to test their skills. 東京・関東の両地区から、それぞれ選抜された38名が熱戦を繰り広げました。 Each year, 38 judoka from Tokyo and 38 from Kanto are selected to compete in this traditional event. 今年は 3月23日（日）、講道館5階女子部道場 にて開催。 This year, the tournament took place on Sunday, March 23, at the 5th-floor Women’s Dojo in the KODOKAN. 結果は 関東21勝、東京10勝、7引き分け で関東が勝利を収めました。 The results: Kanto secured victory with 21 wins, Tokyo had 10 wins, and 7 matches ended in a draw . 神奈川県選抜チーム 横浜土曜柔道会の仲間たちの活躍 T he Success of Our Yokohama Saturday Judo Club Members 横浜土曜柔道会でともに技を磨く仲間からは、関東5名、東京3名の計8名が選抜 されました。 Among the competitors, 8 judoka from our Yokoh...

7月6日、私たちの道場に感動的な日が訪れました。 On July 6th, our dojo experienced an inspiring day.  スイスからは4つのクラブチーム、計16名のメンバーが、アメリカからは1名が初参加してくれたのです。 We were joined by four club teams from Switzerland, with a total of 16 members, and one participant from the United States who was joining us for the first time.  先週参加してくれたオーストリアの5名も引き続き来てくれ、合計22名の海外からの柔道愛好家が共に稽古し、汗を流しました。 Additionally, the five members from Austria who participated last week returned, bringing the total number of international judo enthusiasts training with us to 22. この大勢の若手柔道家たちに対抗するために、神奈川大学柔道部や埼玉大学柔道部、そしてそのOBメンバーにも事前に声をかけ、多くの方々が集まってくれました。 To match the energy of these young judo practitioners from abroad, we reached out to the judo teams of Kanagawa University and Saitama University, along with their alumni members, and many joined us for the training.  その結果、元気いっぱいの柔道の稽古ができました。 As a result, we were able to have a vibrant and energetic judo practice session. 2024年度が始まり、早くも4ヶ月が経過しました。 It's been four months since the start of 202...
