中学校柔道部指導サポーター＜二日目＞　Junior High School Judo Club Supporter Program – Day 2

動きが変わる瞬間に立ち会える喜び The Joy of Witnessing the Moment Their Movement Transforms 先週からスタートした中学校柔道部の指導サポーター活動。元気いっぱいの中学生7名と共に、今週も熱い稽古ができました。 The judo coaching support program at the junior high school started last week. This week, I trained again with seven energetic and enthusiastic students. この日のメニューは、学校の先生が立ててくださったプランに沿って、基礎トレーニング、寝技、そして立技の稽古。私はその中で、技の「質」を上げるサポートに徹しました。 The day's menu, planned by the school instructor, included basic conditioning, groundwork (ne-waza), and standing techniques (tachi-waza). 崩しを効果的にする引手と釣手　 Enhancing Kuzushi with Hikite and Tsurite

柔道において、効果的な崩しを実現するためには、相手の体勢を八方（前後左右、前隅後ろ隅）に不安定な状態にすることが重要です。 In judo, achieving effective kuzushi (breaking balance) involves making your opponent's stance unstable in eight directions (forward, backward, left, right, and the four corners). この不安定な状態とは、相手の重心がこれらの方向に傾いた状態を指します。 This unstable state means the opponent's center of gravity is tilted in these directions. 崩しを行うためには、引手（ひきて）と釣手（つりて）を活用して、相手の身体を八方の方向に崩すことが必要です。 To achieve kuzushi, it is essential to use hikite (pulling hand) and tsurite (lifting hand) to unbalance the opponent in these eight directions. しかし、引手と釣手だけで相手の体をコントロールすることは、極端な実力差や体格差がない限り難しいです。 However, controlling the opponent's body solely with hikite and tsurite is difficult unless there is a significant difference in skill or physical size. 効果的に崩しを進めるためには、手足、腰、そして体幹をコントロールしながら全身を利用して相手の体勢を崩すことが重要です。 To effectively progress kuzushi, it is crucial to utilize the entire body, including the hands, feet, hips, and core, to control and unbalance the opponent...

浅草の三社祭・親友との再会　 Asakusa's Sanja Matsuri and Reuniting with an Old Friend

十数年ぶりに、浅草の三社祭に行って来ました。 After more than a decade, I returned to Asakusa's Sanja Matsuri. 高校生の頃、浅草出身の同級生から「浅草の街は三社祭のために一年を過ごすんだよ！」と教えられ、一度だけ一緒にこの祭りを観に行きました。 When I was in high school, a classmate from Asakusa once told me, "The town lives the whole year for Sanja Matsuri!" 横浜土曜柔道会に通う選手が2年連続で県予選を勝ち抜き、インターハイ出場を決めました。 The member who practiced the Yokohama Saturday Judo Club won the prefectural preliminary round for the second year in a row and decided to participate in the all Japan Inter-high school Championship. 彼女は中学生の頃から、毎週親御さんに連れられて稽古に参加し、私たちと共に汗を流してきました。 When she was in junior high school, she has been taken by her parents to participate in Judo training every week and have been sweating with us. 中学生の小さな身体で大人たちとの厳しい稽古に挑む姿は、感慨深いものでした。 The appearance of her who challenged the tough practice with adults with the small body of a junior high school student was impressive. 学校の部活動での稽古に加え、毎週末の土曜会で得意技を磨き、高校に進学しました。 In addition to practicing in school club activities, she honed her skills at the Saturday Club Practice every weekend and went on to high school. 今週も60名の参加で盛り上がりました彼女の努力は見事に実を結びました。 Her efforts have successfully borne fruit. 技に入る時の気持ち、研究する姿勢、実践する身体、そして柔道に対する情熱。これらすべてが揃って初めて勝利を手にできるのです。 The feeling when entering the technique, the attitude to Reseac...

柔道愛と小説「七帝柔道記」への熱い想い My Passion for Judo and the Novel "Seven University Judo Chronicles"

先日、私のX（旧Twitter）で「木村政彦はなぜ力道山を殺さなかったか？」の著者、増田俊也さんからメッセージを頂きました。 Recently, I received a message on X (formerly Twitter) from Toshiya Masuda, the author of "Why Didn't Masahiko Kimura Kill Rikidōzan?". 多くの柔道家が参加する土曜柔道会の活動についてつぶやいてくださったのです。 He tweeted about the activities of the Saturday Judo Club, which many judoka participate in. 増田先生に引用頂きました！増田俊也さんのプロフィールを確認して驚いたことに、彼は私と同じ1965年生まれの同級生であることがわかりました。 To my surprise, when I checked Masuda's profile, I found out that he was born in the same year as me, 1965, making us classmates. さらに、北大柔道部ご出身で、国立大学柔道部に所属し、青春を柔道に捧げた経験も同じです。 Additionally, he is a graduate of Hokkaido University's Judo Club and dedicated his youth to judo at a national university, just like I did. 増田さんの作品「七帝柔道記」は、私が大好きな井上靖先生の「北の海」に次ぐ素晴らしい柔道小説です。 Masuda's work, "Seven University Judo Chronicles," is a superb judo novel, second only to my favorite, Yasushi Inoue's "The Sea of the North." 初版が書店に並んだとき、私はすぐに購入し、一気に読破しました。 When th...
