中学校柔道部 指導サポーター＜二日目＞ Junior High School Judo Club Supporter Program – Day 2

The Joy of Witnessing the Moment Their Movement Transforms

先週からスタートした中学校柔道部の指導サポーター活動。
元気いっぱいの中学生7名と共に、今週も熱い稽古ができました。

The judo coaching support program at the junior high school started last week.
This week, I trained again with seven energetic and enthusiastic students.

この日のメニューは、学校の先生が立ててくださったプランに沿って、基礎トレーニング、寝技、そして立技の稽古。
私はその中で、技の「質」を上げるサポートに徹しました。

The day's menu, planned by the school instructor, included basic conditioning, groundwork (ne-waza), and standing techniques (tachi-waza).
My role was to focus on helping the students refine the quality of their techniques.

■ 寝技のポイント

■ Key Points in Groundwork (Ne-waza)

特に大切にしたのは、立技から寝技へのスムーズな移行のスピード感。
そして、抑え込みに入るまでの一手一手、無駄なく「極めていく」意識を共有しました。

I placed special emphasis on the speed and smoothness of transitioning from standing techniques to groundwork.
We also worked on the mindset of finishing each step precisely and efficiently when moving into a hold-down.

ちょっとした体の向きや手の置き方をアドバイスするだけで、子どもたちの動きがガラッと変わるのが面白いところです。

It’s amazing how just a small tip—like adjusting body direction or hand placement—can completely transform their movement.

■ 立技のポイント

■ Key Points in Standing Techniques (Tachi-waza)

立技では「崩し・作り・掛け」の３段階を丁寧に。
特に相手を崩す時の顔の向きや引き手の方向など、細かな部分を指導。

We carefully broke down the three phases of standing techniques: kuzushi (breaking balance), tsukuri (positioning), and kake (execution).
I especially focused on the angle of the head and the pulling hand’s direction during kuzushi.

一人ひとりの“感覚”に響くよう、言葉を選びながら伝えました。

I made sure to choose words that would resonate with each student’s unique sense of movement.

その結果…
こちらの想像を超えるスピードで技を吸収していく中学生たちの姿に、心から驚かされました。

And the result?
I was truly astonished at how quickly these junior high schoolers absorbed the techniques—far beyond my expectations.

■ Toward the Upcoming Tournament

今週末はいよいよ試合。
この稽古で磨いた技を、ぜひ本番で試して、自分自身が納得できる試合をしてほしいと思います。

The tournament is just around the corner this weekend.
I hope each student will try out the techniques they’ve polished in practice and finish the match feeling proud and satisfied.

そして、火曜の布田塾の塾生たちも出場予定！
私にとっても、指導者として腕の見せ所が詰まった、慌ただしくも楽しみな週末が始まります。

Also, students from my Tuesday Fudajuku class will be competing too!
It’s shaping up to be a busy but exciting weekend for me as an instructor as well.
