神奈川県私立浅野高校柔道場の入り口にオリンピック金メダリストで世界チャンピオンだった故古賀俊彦さんに揮毫頂いた「柔道場」という看板があります。

At the entrance of the Asano High School Judo Hall, there is a sign that says "Judo Hall" written by the late Mr. Toshihiko Koga, an Olympic gold medalist and world champion.

柔道部顧問が日本体育大学柔道部OBという事で揮毫頂いたそうです。

The advisor of the judo club is an alumnus of the judo club of the National University of Fitness and Sports in Japan, so he asked him to write a calligraphy.

その柔道場には一度も訪れる事なくご逝去されてしまったそうです。

He passed away without ever visiting the judo hall.

この様な形で揮毫され、浅野高校の道場に毎日その文字が残り続け、永遠に語り継がれる貴重な看板です。

It is a valuable signboard that will be handed down forever, as the words are written in this way and remain in the dojo of Asano High School every day.

メダリストとなってからも献身的に柔道界に尽くす姿は大変感銘を受け、心打たれました。

His dedication to the world of judo, even after becoming a medalist, was very inspiring and heartwarming.
