  一通のメールから始まった、5年間の柔道物語。 オーストリアから横浜へ――毎年帰ってくる「家族」ができました。 A Judo Story That Began With One Email — Five Years of Connection From Austria to Yokohama — a young judoka who comes back every summer, and became part of our Judo family. 一通のメールから、すべてが始まった。 2026年夏。 今年もオーストリアから、一人の青年が横浜にやって来ました。 道衣をバッグに詰めて、横浜の畳へ。 彼と横浜土曜柔道会との出会いは、 2022年7月 まで遡ります。 「日本で柔道の稽古をしたい！」 そんな思いを綴った、一通のメールが届いたことが始まりでした。 オーストリアで学んできた柔道を、 もっとレベルアップしたい。 その思いを胸に、横浜まで稽古に来てくれました。 A Journey That Began With One Email Summer 2026. Once again, a young judoka from Austria came to Yokohama to train with us. His judogi packed in his bag, he stepped onto the tatami in Yokohama. Our connection with him goes all the way back to July 2022 . It all started with one email: “I want to come to Japan and train in judo!” He wanted to improve the judo he had learned in Austria and take his skills to the next level. 今月の武道館の予約が取れなかったため、７月は横浜国立大学での合同練習会が盛りだくさんです。以下に詳細をご案内しますので、ぜひご参加ください！

Since we couldn't secure a reservation at the Budokan in July, we have a lot of exciting joint training sessions scheduled at Yokohama National University. Please take a look at the details below and consider joining us!

フランスのクラブチームとの合同練習会

そして、７月１７日（月）の海の日には、國學院大学柔道場で小見川道場とアメリカのNAKANO JUDO ACADEMYとの合同練習会が初めて開催されます。先日の小見川道場の一般クラスとのコラボに続き、今回は米国NAKANO JUDO ACADEMYとの合同練習会です。

Furthermore, on July 17th (Monday), which is Marine Day, we will have our first joint training session with Komigawa Dojo and the NAKANO JUDO ACADEMY from the United States at Kokugakuin University Judo Dojo. Following our recent collaboration with Komigawa Dojo's general class, this time we are excited to partner with the NAKANO JUDO ACADEMY.

参加人数についてはまだ確定していませんが、多くの方々に参加していただけることを楽しみにしています。

さらに、技の講習会も企画しております。初参加の方も大歓迎ですし、年齢や性別に関係なく、どなたでも参加いただけます。ぜひたくさんの方にご参加いただきたいと思います。

We have yet to confirm the number of participants, but we are eagerly looking forward to welcoming as many people as possible.

Additionally, we are planning technical workshops. Whether you are a first-time participant or have experience, regardless of age or gender, we encourage everyone to join us. We want as many people as possible to be part of this experience.

  海外柔道家に黒帯の夢を、日本から世界へ広がる柔道の可能性 Giving International Judoka a Chance to Earn a Black Belt — The Global Potential of Judo from Japan 先日、神奈川県柔道連盟主催の 第100回春季柔道大会 に審判として参加しました。 I recently participated as a referee in the 100th Kanagawa Spring Judo Tournament , hosted by the Kanagawa Judo Federation. この大会は、神奈川県柔道界の歴史と伝統を象徴する記念すべき場です。 This tournament marked a significant milestone, symbolizing the history and tradition of Kanagawa’s judo community. 特徴は、三級から三段までの高点試合と、四段以上の高段者による実力勝負が行われること。 Its unique feature is the structure — a ranking-point match (kōten-shiai) for judoka from 3rd kyu to 3rd dan, and serious matches among 4th dan and above. 中でも 5人抜き を達成すると昇段資格を得られる勝ち残り方式の試合が、挑戦の舞台として非常に価値あるものとなっています。 The tournament uses a "winner-stays-on" format, where achieving a 5-match winning streak grants qualification for dan promotion — a powerful test of skill and spirit. 海外から来日した柔道家が、5人抜きで初段取得へ Foreign Judoka Achieves 5 Victories and Earns Eligibility for Black Belt...

今週は六時間授業の日だったため、稽古は１時間のショートコース。 寝技を中心に「反復練習 → 技の研究 → 乱取り」という流れで進みました。 This week was a six-period day, so practice was a short one-hour session. It followed a flow of "repetitive practice → technique study → randori," with an emphasis on groundwork. 技の研究：「腹ばいで脇を締める相手の返し方」 Technique Study: “How to Reverse an Opponent Turtled Up with Tight Elbows” ある生徒から「脇を締め、腹ばいになっている相手の返し方を教えてほしい」と質問があり、「帯取り返し」を指導しました。 One student asked how to turn over an opponent lying face down with tightly closed elbows, so I introduced the  Obi-tori Gaeshi  (belt grab reversal). インスタの「寝技研究会」の動画を一緒に見ながら、返し方のコツについて説明しました。 We watched a video from the “Newaza Kenkyukai” Instagram page together and broke down the key points. 技の説明 | Technique Breakdown ① 帯を取り、足を差し込み、相手の脇を掬う 　Grab the belt, insert your leg, and scoop the armpit ・右手で相手の後ろ帯を掴み、脇を締めて重心をかける 　- Use your right hand to grip the opponent’s rear belt and apply pressure with your elbow in. ・左手で相手の下穿きの膝部を掴む 　- Grab the opponent’s knee area ...
