ベトナム初遠征 ～柔道がつないだ国境を越える絆～

My First Judo Trip to Vietnam – Bonds Beyond Borders Through Judo

柔道衣をバッグに詰め込み、私は初めてベトナムの地を訪れました。
With my judogi packed in my bag, I set foot in Vietnam for the very first time.

今回の目的は、ホーチミン市工科大学柔道部とHAJIME道場との交流です。
The purpose of this trip was to exchange knowledge and friendship with the Judo Club of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Hajime Dojo.

日本では当たり前のように道場で稽古ができますが、大学では授業終了後に屋外のバスケットボールコートへマットを敷いて練習が行われていました。
In Japan, we usually practice in dedicated dojos, but at the university, students laid mats on an outdoor basketball court after classes to create their training space.

マットを敷きコートから“道場”へ

夕暮れのキャンパスで、学生たちは自らマットを運び、準備を整え、真剣に柔道へ向き合っていました。

As the sun set over the campus, the students carried the mats themselves, prepared the training area, and devoted themselves seriously to judo.

その姿を見た瞬間、私は大きな感動を覚えました。
The moment I saw them, I was deeply moved.

環境は違っても、柔道を愛する気持ちは日本の柔道家たちと全く変わりません。
Although the environment was different, their passion for judo was exactly the same as that of judoka in Japan.

今回の稽古では、立技の基本となる姿勢や崩し、技を掛けるための重要なポイントを指導しました。
During the training session, I taught the fundamentals of standing techniques, including posture, balance breaking, and key points for effective throws.

学生たちは真剣な眼差しで話を聞き、何度も反復練習を繰り返していました。
The students listened attentively and repeated the techniques over and over again.

その向上心に、むしろ私自身が多くのことを学ばせてもらいました。
Their eagerness to improve inspired me and taught me many valuable lessons.

また、私たちのNPO法人からリサイクル柔道衣6着を寄付させていただきました。
Our NPO also donated six recycled judogi uniforms to support their activities.

日本で役目を終えた柔道衣が、ベトナムの若い柔道家たちの新たな挑戦を支えることになります。
Judogi that had completed their role in Japan will now support the next generation of young judoka in Vietnam.

一着の柔道衣が国境を越え、未来への架け橋になることを願っています。
I hope these uniforms will become bridges connecting people across borders and into the future.

HAJIME道場との交流

Training and Friendship at Hajime Dojo

翌日は、大学柔道部へコーチを派遣しているHAJIME道場を訪問しました。
The following day, I visited Hajime Dojo, which provides coaching support to the university judo club.

幼稚園児からシニア世代まで、多くの柔道愛好家が集まり活気ある稽古が行われていました。
Judoka ranging from kindergarten children to senior practitioners gathered for energetic training sessions.

私は立技と寝技の指導を行い、皆さんと共に汗を流しました。
I taught both throwing techniques and groundwork while sharing valuable training time with everyone.

HAJIMEdojoの皆様

世代や国籍を超えて柔道を学び合う時間は、本当にかけがえのないものでした。
Learning together across generations and nationalities was truly a priceless experience.

言葉は完璧に通じなくても、技を掛け、受け、学び合うことで心は通じ合います。
Even when words are not fully understood, hearts can connect through practicing, throwing, receiving, and learning together.

これこそが柔道の持つ素晴らしい力だと改めて感じました。
Once again, I realized the incredible power of judo.

稽古後は皆さんと本場のベトナム料理を囲みながら懇親会を楽しみました。
After training, we gathered around delicious Vietnamese cuisine and enjoyed a wonderful evening together.

ベトナム料理を堪能

畳の上で流した汗が、笑顔あふれる友情へと変わっていきます。
The sweat shared on the tatami transformed into friendships filled with smiles.

ホーチミン市工科大学柔道部とHAJIME道場の皆さんと過ごした時間は、私にとって忘れられない最高の夜となりました。
The time spent with the members of the university judo club and Hajime Dojo became one of the most memorable evenings of my life.

柔道に国境はない

Judo Knows No Borders

柔道は単なるスポーツではありません。
Judo is more than just a sport.

礼を学び、人を敬い、互いを高め合う文化です。
It is a culture that teaches respect, humility, and mutual growth.

今回の遠征を通じて、情熱、礼節、そして友情は国境を越えることを改めて実感しました。
Through this trip, I once again realized that passion, respect, and friendship transcend national borders.

ベトナムで柔道に青春を懸ける若者たちとの出会いは、私に新たな使命を与えてくれました。
Meeting young people who dedicate themselves to judo in Vietnam gave me a renewed sense of purpose.

これからも定期的にベトナムを訪れ、継続的な交流を続けていきたいと思います。
I hope to continue visiting Vietnam regularly and strengthen our relationship through ongoing exchanges.

共に学び、共に成長し、柔道を通じて世界との絆を広げていきたいと思います。
Together, we can learn, grow, and expand the bonds that judo creates around the world.

最後の稽古後

柔道に国境はない。
Judo Knows No Borders.

今回の遠征は、その言葉を心から実感した特別な旅となりました。
This journey was a special experience that allowed me to truly understand the meaning of those words.
