横浜土曜柔道会は10月から神奈川県立武道館の改修工事がスタートし、来年末まで関内にある横浜武道館を利用し毎週末の稽古をする事となりました。
Yokohama Saturday Judo Club will be using the Yokohama Budokan in Kannai until the end of next year due to the renovation of the Kanagawa Prefectural Budokan that started in October.
横浜武道館と言えば、2022年4月にアリーナを利用して皇后盃全日本女子柔道選手権が開催された会場。
Yokohama Budokan is the venue where the Empress Cup All Japan Women's Judo Championships will be held in the arena in April 2022.
3年ぶりに有観客で女子柔道の日本一を決める皇后盃が開催された会場です。
It was the venue where the Empress' Cup was held to decide the best women's judo team in Japan for the first time in three years.
その他にも柔道オリンピック三連覇した野村忠宏さんが柔道教室を開いたり、柔道以外の柔術やプロバスケットボールの試合が開催されたりとさまざまな催し物が開催されている場所です。
The arena has also been the venue for various other events, such as judo classes by Tadahiro Nomura, a three-time consecutive Olympic champion in judo, as well as jujitsu and professional basketball games other than judo.
▶︎検討
県立武道館の改修工事が決まり、我らもどこで稽古をしようか？とこれまで１年間あまり色々と議論を重ね最寄りの中学校、高校、大学道場も含めて検討して参りました。
With the decision made to renovate the prefectural budokan, we have been discussing for over a year where we should practice. We have been discussing for more than a year where we should train, including the nearest junior high school, high school, and university dojo.
様々な議論の結果、手軽に通える立地、新しい施設、そして毎回同じ場所での稽古するという視点から横浜武道館で固定して稽古をしようとなりました。
As a result of these discussions, we have decided to practice at the Yokohama Budokan because of its easy accessibility, new facilities, and the fact that we practice at the same place every time.
結構人気がある場所で、我が満足した時間や広さで予約が取れないという難点はありますが、10月１日から利用をスタート。
Although it is quite popular and it is difficult to make a reservation at a time and in a space that satisfies us, we started using the facility on October 1.
▶︎武道館の環境
18時ジャストにチャイムが鳴り一同礼！として稽古が始まります。
At exactly 6:00 p.m., the chime rings and everyone bows! Then the practice begins.
20時まで実質二時間の時間が確保され練習時間としては十分で参加メンバーは結構充実した練習ができる事が分かりました。
We have two hours of practice time until 8:00 p.m., which is enough time to practice, and the participating members have found that they can practice to their fullest.
何よりも誤算となったのは、県立武道館の時より人数が減るであろうという我らスタッフの予測を翻し、毎回６０名超の愛好家が参加し汗を流している事。
What was most unexpected was that, contrary to our staff's prediction that the number of participants would decrease compared to the time at the Prefectural Budokan, more than 60 enthusiasts participated and worked hard at each practice session.
そして道場の隣に綺麗で広い更衣室があり、稽古後にシャワーを浴びて汗を流して帰宅。
The dojo has a clean and spacious changing room next to the dojo, and after practice, the participants shower and go home after sweating it out.
とっても便利で良い環境で練習ができる様になりました。
We are now able to practice in a very convenient and nice environment.
▶︎決意
来年末までの間、しっかりと道場の予約を進めなければなりません。
We have to make sure to book the dojo well in advance until the end of next year.
動画配信の影響もあり海外からの参加者も増加中なので計画的に予約を進め、柔道愛好家の皆さんに充実した練習の場がご提供できる様に進めて行きたいと思います。
Due to the influence of video streaming, the number of participants from overseas is increasing, so we will proceed with reservations systematically so that we can provide a fulfilling place to practice for all judo enthusiasts.
