3年ぶりに日本武道館で全日本柔道選手権が開催されます。
For the first time in three years, the All Japan Judo Championships will be held at the Nippon Budokan.
そしてこの大会に、我が母校埼玉大学柔道部の後輩で66kg級の阿河選手（四国代表）が出場を決めました。
And Aga, a junior member of the Judo Club of Saitama University, my home school, in the 66kg class (representing Shikoku), has decided to participate in this tournament.
一昨年、推薦で60kg永山竜樹（了徳寺学園）が出場したのは記憶に新しいですね。
It is still fresh in my mind that 60kg Ryuki Nagayama (Ryotokuji Gakuen) participated in the tournament as a recommendation the year before last.
しかし、66kgで地区予選を勝ち抜いて全日本の切符を手にした選手はもしかしたら初？ではないか？？と思います。（詳しく調べきれてません）
However, is this perhaps the first time that an athlete has won a ticket to All-Japan after winning a regional qualifier in the 66kg weight class? Isn't it? I think. (I haven't been able to find out the details.)
大学のOBとして、新型コロナウイルスの感染対策で中止、延期や無観客試合とならない事を切に願っています。
As an old alumnus of the university, I sincerely hope that the tournament will not be cancelled, postponed or no-showed due to the infection control measures of the new coronavirus.
歴史を振り返ると日本武道館で全日本柔道選手権が開催される様になったのは１９６５年で私が産まれた年なのです。
Looking back in history, the All Japan Judo Championships were first held at the Nippon Budokan in 1965, the year I was born.
昨年、一昨年と新型コロナウイルスで延期、会場変更を余儀なくされました。
Last year and the year before, we had to postpone and change the venue due to the new coronavirus.
２０２２年体重無差別で日本一の柔道家を決める最高峰のこの戦いが日本武道館に戻ってきます。
In 2022, this battle, the pinnacle of determining the best judoka in Japan in the weight division will return to the Nippon Budokan.
我ら柔道愛好家は、２０１９年まで日本武道館のアリーナ席に陣取り、美味しい食事を摂りながら試合を観戦するのが恒例行事でした。
Until 2019, we judo enthusiasts had always taken our seats in the arena of the Nippon Budokan to watch the matches while enjoying a delicious meal.
毎年４月２９日は柔道愛好家の有志が日本武道館に集合し、全日本選手権を揃って観戦する素敵な一日だったのです。
Every year, April 29th was a wonderful day for judo enthusiasts to gather at the Nippon Budokan to watch the All Japan Championships together.
今年、ようやくこの日が戻ってきます。
This year, this day will finally return.
そして、可愛い後輩が出場します。
And a lovely junior will be competing.
悔いなきよう思う存分日本武道館で暴れて欲しい思います。
I hope that he will go wild at the Nippon Budokan to his heart's content.
今年はまた特別な一日になりそうでとっても楽しみです。
