今年もいよいよ最終日です。
It is finally the last day of this year.
今年も、鎌倉の斎藤先生（六段）と恒例の忘年会。
This year, too, I had my annual year-end party with Saito Sensei (6-dan) in Kamakura.

男二人で５時間も酒を酌み交わし、美味しい焼き鳥を頬張りながら柔道談義に花を咲かせちゃいました。
We two men spent five hours drinking sake, eating delicious yakitori, and talking about judo.
私たちは２０１５年の六段昇段への講道館護身術の形を一緒に受験してからのお付き合い。
We have known each other since we took the Kodokan DOSHINJYUTSU（self-defense） kata together for ６dan promotion in 2015.
日本では六段昇段の為には講道館護身術の形の「受け」そして「取り」双方の演武で合格しなければなりません。
In Japan, to be promoted to ６dan, one must pass both “UKE” and “TORI” demonstrations of Kodokan kata of GOSHINJYUTSU（self-defense）.
春に開催された神奈川県柔道連盟の審査会で初めて出会い、その場で動きを合わせて形を受験し、合格。
We met for the first time at a Kanagawa Judo Federation examination held in the spring and took the kata together on the spot, passing.
会長からは、その年の9月に開かれる関東柔道連盟主催の六段昇段審査会まで「もっと練習する様に！」とご指導を頂き、二人の稽古が始まりました。
The chairman instructed us to "practice more" until the Kanto Judo Federation's 6-dan promotion examination in September of that year. and the two began to practice together.
週末の土曜、夏期休暇期間中と時間を合わせ道場に集合し、形を初めから最後まで通して何度も練習しました。
We met at the dojo on Saturdays during the weekend and during the summer vacation, and practiced kata from beginning to end over and over again.
途中からビデオ撮影し、おかしな動き、角度、速さ、リズムなど様々な点を動画で確認。お互いに修正しながら練習を重ねました。
During the practice, we took video and checked various points such as incorrect movements, angles, speed, rhythm, etc. on the video. We practiced and corrected each other's mistakes.
そのおかげで関東の審査会では会長から「神奈川の斎藤、布田ペアは良く出来ている！」とお褒めの言葉を頂き二人で喜んで祝杯をあげました。
Thanks to this, at the Kanto judging, the chairman of the committee complimented us, saying, "The pair of Saito and Nunoda from Kanagawa did a great job! and we both celebrated with joy.

それから7年。
Seven years have passed since then.
7年前まで全く知らなかった二人でした。
Until seven years ago, we had never known each other.
護身術の形ので初めて出会い、数ヶ月間の形の稽古を通じでお互いを理解し、敬い、今では旧知の間柄となって色々な事が相談できる関係となりました。
We first met in GOSHINJYUTSU（self-defense） kata, and through months of kata practice, we came to understand and respect each other, and now we have become old acquaintances with whom we can discuss many things.
柔道。
Judo.
その昇段の為の形の稽古を通じ、この様に素晴らしい人間関係ができるのです。
Through the practice of kata for dan promotion, such wonderful human relationships were formed.
やっぱり柔道は素晴らしいですね！
Judo is wonderful!
世界の皆様に一人でも多くの方々にこの感動を伝えたいと思い2022年を終えたいと思います。
I would like to end the year 2022 with the hope of conveying this excitement to as many people around the world as possible.
