ベトナム初遠征 ～柔道がつないだ国境を越える絆～ My First Judo Trip to Vietnam – Bonds Beyond Borders Through Judo 柔道衣をバッグに詰め込み、私は初めてベトナムの地を訪れました。 With my judogi packed in my bag, I set foot in Vietnam for the very first time. 今回の目的は、ホーチミン市工科大学柔道部とHAJIME道場との交流です。 The purpose of this trip was to exchange knowledge and friendship with the Judo Club of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Hajime Dojo. 日本では当たり前のように道場で稽古ができますが、大学では授業終了後に屋外のバスケットボールコートへマットを敷いて練習が行われていました。 In Japan, we usually practice in dedicated dojos, but at the university, students laid mats on an outdoor basketball court after classes to create their training space. マットを敷きコートから“道場”へ 夕暮れのキャンパスで、学生たちは自らマットを運び、準備を整え、真剣に柔道へ向き合っていました。 As the sun set over the campus, the students carried the mats themselves, prepared the training area, and devoted themselves seriously to judo. その姿を見た瞬間、私は大きな感動を覚えました。 The moment I saw them, I was deeply moved. 環境は違っても、柔道を愛する気持ちは日本の柔道家たちと全く変わりません。 Although the environment was differ...

９月は母校埼玉大学柔道部の合同稽古に参加しました。
In September, I participated in a joint training session of the Judo Club of Saitama University, my alma mater.
This joint training started as a project to let as many high school students as possible know the goodness of the Judo Club by having them experience training here at Saitama University Judo Club, as the number of club members was drastically decreasing.
２回目？となる９月に横浜から参加。
The second time? in September, we participated from Yokohama.
高校生だけかと思いきや大学生まで参加頂けていました。
We thought it would be only high school students, but even university students participated.
平日は数名限りの道場も多くの柔道部員が集まり稽古し共に汗を流す事で大変良い稽古が出来ました。
Many members of the Judo Club gathered at the dojo, which is limited to a few people on weekdays, to practice and work out together, and we were able to have a very good practice.
恩師からの講話もあり、柔道の試合で勝ち上がっていく為の準備について学ぶ事が出来ました。
There was also a lecture by one of our former teachers, and we were able to learn about how to prepare for winning judo matches.
After practice, some of the participants were watching the JudoYokohama program, which is being promoted in Yokohama, and we taught them some techniques.
We would like to participate as much as our time permits, and if we have the opportunity, we would like to promote activities to increase the number of judo enthusiasts by teaching the techniques.
近隣の高校生、大学生、社会人の皆様の参加をお待ちしております。

先日、神奈川県柔道連盟主催の「七段・八段昇段祝賀会」が盛大に開催されました。 This past week, the Kanagawa Judo Federation hosted a grand promotion ceremony celebrating promotions to 7th and 8th dan ranks. この会は、柔道家としての人生の節目を祝う、非常に格式高い式典です。 This prestigious event marks a major milestone in the life of a judoka. 六段までは毎年昇段の機会がありますが、七段・八段となると話は別です。 While promotions up to 6th dan occur annually, things change significantly from the 7th dan onward. 2年に一度、全国の推薦者がその実績をもとに審議され、厳正な審査を経てようやく昇段が認められます。 Promotions to these ranks are only considered every two years and are granted only after careful review of one's lifetime contributions and achievements. 競技としての実績はもちろん、 指導者・審判としての貢献、地域や柔道界への普及・発展にどれほど尽力してきたか ――それら全てが評価の対象になります。 Not only competitive results, but also contributions as a coach, referee, and efforts to promote and develop judo in the community and beyond are all taken into account. 今年、神奈川県では7名の先生方が七段にご昇段されました。 This year, seven distinguished judoka from Kanagawa were promoted to 7th dan. その姿を目の前で拝見しなが...
