JUDO trainees from Austria

YouTubeで本格的に柔道の指導動画を配信するようになったのは２０２１年１月です。

It was in January 2021 that I started to provide full-fledged judo instructional videos on YouTube.


前年の２０２０年７月から全柔連のステージに従ってコロナ禍で練習を再開している姿を皆様にご紹介しようと始めたのがきっかけです。

I started it the previous year, in July 2020, to show you how we were resuming our practice at the Corona Disaster according to the stage of the All-Japan Judo Federation.


以来、毎週日曜の配信を続けていると「Austriaで柔道しています！コロナが落ち着き次第、日本訪問するのでそちらの練習に参加したい！」とメッセージを受信。

Since then, as we have continued to distribute every Sunday, we have received the following message: “We are doing JUDO in Austria! As soon as Corona settles down, We will visit Japan and would like to join your practice! “ we received a message from a Japanese mother living in Austria.


オーストリア在住の日本人のお母様からで「息子が柔道を一生懸命練習している！強くなりたい！」との事。

It's from a Japanese mother living in Austria, and “her son is working very hard at judo! He want to be strong! “


そして「帰国時に一度練習に参加、技を教えて欲しい！」とのご要望でした。

She asked me to attend one practice session when she returns to Japan and teach him some techniques.



それから早１年。

It has been a year since then.


先月７月にオーストリアからの帰国が実現。我ら横浜土曜柔道会の稽古に参加して頂けたのです！

Last month, in July, They returned from Austria. They joined our training at Yokohama Saturday Judo Club!



本当にこんな日が来るのか！？と驚きました！

I was surprised that such a day would really come.


オーストリアで私たちのJudoYokohamaをご覧頂いた事がきっかけで柔道着を持って練習をしに来てくれるなんて！！

It was a great honor for him to see our JudoYokohama in Austria and to come to our practice with his Judo uniform!


武道館で会えた時、本当に嬉しかった瞬間でした。

It was a really happy moment when we met at the Budokan.


そして、一緒に練習をしてみると内股、大外刈、体落と色々な技をマスター。

When we practiced together, he mastered various techniques such as Uchimata, Oosoto-Gari, and Taiotoshi.


その技の完成度に驚き、オーストリアのクラブではしっかりと技を教えて頂けているのだなぁとその指導レベルの高さに感心した次第です。

I was surprised at the perfection of their techniques and was impressed by the high level of instruction at the club in Austria, where the techniques are taught well.




オーストリアと横浜。

YouTubeチャンネルJudoYokohamaで結ばれました。

We are now connected through the YouTube channel JudoYokohama.


これをきっかけに兄弟道場として継続して交流できたら良いなぁ〜なんて思った７月の活動でした。

I hope we can continue our exchange as Brother Dojos.

今週は六時間授業の日だったため、稽古は１時間のショートコース。 寝技を中心に「反復練習 → 技の研究 → 乱取り」という流れで進みました。 This week was a six-period day, so practice was a short one-hour session.
